Australian director Julie Money’s auspicious debut thriller from IFC Films recounts a tale of middle-class whites, revenge, and family disillusionment. The film opens with the theft of a black dress off the clothesline of wife and homemaker Kate (Linda Cropper) by a band of suburban thugs led by Nick (Scott Major) and sexpot Rachel (Anna Lise Phillips). When Kate spies her dress on Rachel at the local swimming pool, she decides to take it back, no matter the consequences. The hoodlums retaliate by breaking into Kate’s house and sexually torturing her son Matt (Wade Osborne); this almost pushes Kate over the edge. Her all-consuming passion for revenge, which threatens her marriage and relationship with her son, eventually erupts into a horrifyingly violent climax. Envy earned Phillips an AFI Award nomination and was an official selection at the 1999 Toronto Film Festival.

"Coffee Date" is a fast-paced comedy filled with sexual shenanigans of a misguided kind. Straight-laced Todd (Jonathan Bray) embarks on a blind date with Kelly, but his mundane world is quickly turned inside out when his female date turns out to be a hunk (Wilson Cruz, "Party Monster"). Friends and family – even his mother – not only think he’s gay, but help thrust him towards this new romantic endeavor! Surrounded by an excellent supporting cast including comical Jonathan Silverman and Oscar-nominated Sally Kirkland, "Coffee Date" is a refreshing, madcap comedy of errors and the perfect metrosexual date movie.

Bold, satirical and wildly funny, the film poses the question: What would have happened if the South had won the Civil War? Played as a straight-faced Ken Burns-style documentary with uncanny parallels to our current society, CSA presents an alternative modern day America as a land in which slavery is alive and well throughout the 50 states, other non-whites and non-Christians are relegated to reservations, the country is in an ongoing Cold War with Canada and a Slave Shopping Network plays on TV. In the words of Spike Lee, an Executive Producer, the film is "eye opening and jaw dropping."

As the light fades and the city goes to sleep, two forces emerge. They are invisible except for the power they exert over us in our sleep, battling for our souls through dreams. One force delivers hope and strength through good dreams; the other infuses the subconscious with desperation through nightmares. John (Chris Kelly) and Emma (Quinn Hunchar), Father and Daughter are wrenched into this fantastical dream world battle, forced to fight for John’s soul and to save Emma from an eternal nightmare. Separate in their journey, they encounter unusual characters that exist only in their subconscious. Or are they real? Ink is a high-concept visual thriller that weaves seamlessly between the conscious and the subconscious. Hailed as the new "it" movie, Ink has been compared to cult classics Brazil, Donnie Darko, The Matrix, Dark City and Pan’s Labyrinth.

In 1983, twelve year-old Shaun (Thomas Turgoose) is a lonely boy growing up in a grim coastal town in northern England. When his father dies fighting in the Falklands War, Shaun befriends a group of local skinheads and finds the gang-mischief, mayhem and brotherhood are exactly what he needs to deal with his pent-up rage and frustration. He also meets the volatile and boorish Combo (Stephen Graham), an older skinhead who sees himself in Shaun. Adopting Shaun as his protege, Combo leads the gang down a hate spewing path that culminates in an irreversible act of violence. Director Shane Meadows claims the grim skinhead-influenced upbringing of Shaun was a true portrayal of his own childhood and many of the events depicted were drawn from his own early life. This indie drama from IFC won the Best Film and Most Promising Newcomer awards at the British Independent Film Awards and won the Special Jury Award at the Rome Film Festival.
